A PROJECT RUNWAY FIRST!
As I always say there is a first time for everything, and this week on Project Runway, there some surprise when designer Maya left because she felt that after weeks of grueling challenges that she wasn't ready. I respect her for her decision to admit that she was not mature enough or established as a designer to go to Bryant Park to showcase her collection. Personally, I would never quit because when the going gets tough, you get tough. But, in any case, her leaving allowed one designer to come back, and it was ANTHONY!!! so excited! I absolutely adore Anthony, his sense of humor, and also because he is an Alabama native like me! His statement "You don't have to win the crown, to be the Queen" will live with me forever because that is so true, you don't have to win to hold you head up high and have pride! Anthony went on to win the challenge and Jessica Alba will wear his winning design! Congrats Anthony! and thanks for showing that even when you are knocked off the horse, you can get back up again and win!

Chanel on Ice
Yesterday was the Chanel Fall 2010 RTW collection in Paris that was as "hot as ice" as Britney Spears would say. Karl Lagerfeld is a fashion genious and transformed the set of the runway into an artic scene of icebergs! His reasoning behind this set even though global warming is taking over was that "The Chanel show was an instruction manual for dressing in a cold climate", like places such as Antartica. This effort was charitable indeed because he wants the eskimos to look "haute couture" too! Here are a few of my favorite looks, and especially love the frozen Chanel quilted bag, chicest ice-cube I've ever seen!

Oh, Oscar
I absolutely adore award season, and the Oscars are definitely my favorite award show! I love everything about it, the glitz, the glamour, the fashion, and also the celebration of great talent in the entertainment business! Like the CFDA awards is the award show of fashion, the Oscars is the award show of the acting industry! I loved watching all the fashion today and here are a few of my favorite Oscar looks! Hopefully, Joan Rivers will give these looks a thumbs up tomorrow on the Fashion Police on E!

JACKIE O. DRESSES
F A S H I O N ' S N I G H T O U T!
Fashion's Night Out is a Global Celebration of Fashion which I love because everyone who appreciates and loves fashion comes to celebrate it and support the Fashion Industry! This year though the celebration will not just be available to those in NY or other cities that celebrate on this night September 10th, but CBS is going to air the special night's coverage on Wed. Sept. 15th at 8 p.m. for a primetime special! So excited, because I might be going to the event this year, but if for some chance I don't I can catch all the excitement on CBS Wed. night, and of course I will be watching it in my Fashion's Night Out 2010 t-shirt! For more information on this fabulous event, check out the website: http://www.fashionsnightout.com/ or follow them on twitter at FNOnyc!

F A S H I O N 4 A Cause

Tragedy is all around else as Mother Nature is wreaking havoc upon Chile, Haiti, and even Hawaii with earthquakes and tsunamis. Now, I know my blog is not necessarily an environmental or current events blog, but these issues are important to me. To help these countries, the Council of Fashion Designers of America or CFDA announced back in February that they designed a t-shirt Fashion for Haiti, which went on sale February 16th. Beyonce is the official spokesperson for this t-shirt that's called Fashion for Haiti and retailers are listed on CFDA's website CFDA.com, so I encourage you to buy one! I just ordered mine, and its really cute! CFDA has not announced a shirt for Chile yet, but there are shirts on Zazzle.com that are fashionable, and for a good cause, so shop away!photo from CocoPerez.com

My love for fashion
I have loved art and fashion since I was young but my strong passion and appreciation for fashion began when I was about eight years old! It began when my mom took me, just me, ha i have three other siblings, to New York City! In NYC, we did the normal touristy stuff, we went shopping on 5th avenue and Madision, went to Broadway shows, and the Empire State Building, but most memorable was when my mom took me to see the fashion designs of First Lady Jackie O. Jackie Kennedy is my absolute idol and has been since forever! I saw all the beautiful designs by Chanel, Valentino, and Dior and fell in love with fashion! Also, Jackie O. is my idol for other reasons such as her classic elegance. I always say to myself WWJD (What would Jackie do) because I always want to achieve a sense of elegance in my dress and manner.
