My love for fashion

I have loved art and fashion since I was young but my strong passion and appreciation for fashion began when I was about eight years old! It began when my mom took me, just me, ha i have three other siblings, to New York City! In NYC, we did the normal touristy stuff, we went shopping on 5th avenue and Madision, went to Broadway shows, and the Empire State Building, but most memorable was when my mom took me to see the fashion designs of First Lady Jackie O. Jackie Kennedy is my absolute idol and has been since forever! I saw all the beautiful designs by Chanel, Valentino, and Dior and fell in love with fashion! Also, Jackie O. is my idol for other reasons such as her classic elegance. I always say to myself WWJD (What would Jackie do) because I always want to achieve a sense of elegance in my dress and manner.

Put some Spring into your step!

SPRING is my favorite time of the year! I love this season because flowers are in full bloom, as well as Spring 2010 fashion will be in full bloom!! So excited for all the ruffles, feathers, and bright, neon colors which are on trend for spring! And Spring is my favorite also because my birthday is in April so here are a few Spring items on my birthday/ spring break wish list!

Long time, No blog

I haven't blogged in a long time due to school and my busy year as a SENIOR!! I cannot wait to graduate but this week is my favorite of all weeks!! This week is Fall Fashion Week where the Fall 2010 collections are presented! I die to be there right now but I will just dream hard until I get there! I have loved all the collections and great talent this week but my favorite collection is hands down Halston! Halston is one of my favorite fashion empires because Halston's main goal is to create something timeless for strong women! The idea of a timeless piece to me is far more special than the "IT" thing which lasts for about a season. The designer that is taking over the empire, which is owned by Harvey Weinstein, is Marios Schwab. Schwab did an exquisite job at heading the design aspect of Halston and carrying on the legacy of the late designer. The draping in the line is impeccable and this line is a work of art! There is also a line called Halston Heritage by my favorite, Sarah Jessica Parker, that is a more affordable line and is representing the classics of Halston! Here are a few of my favorite pieces in the Halston Fall 2010 collection but if I had the chance, I would own all of them!
