SWEET CAROLINA!
So, I am so excited and appreciative that I got an internship at Carolina Herrera in Dallas, TX this summer!
This is the PERFECT internship because I respect and adore Carolina Herrera as a designer and LOVE her clothes, especially the FALL 2010 collection, which I will get to unpack the boxes as an intern (basically will be like opening christmas presents!) And also, I will get to learn the business side of fashion, which is very important! I also am excited about my internship because it is in the city where I will be for the next four years (or more!) when I am attending Southern Methodist University! Now as for my blog, I will blog as much as I can this summer and from now on because I want to give others advice and confidence to go forward and achieve their dreams! People always laughed at me or doubted me when I said that I wanted to work in the fashion industry and move to a big city to achieve those dreams! They did not understand the passion and firey ambition I had to work in this industry that came at a young age! Some kids played house or read books, I constantly played with Barbies, styling them and designing their clothes! I do not feel bashful about what I want to achieve in my life anymore, but I am setting out in my life to achieve my dreams! I do not want to be average and do average things, I want excitement and want to fulfill my passion for fashion and all things in life that are beautiful and bring happiness to people! A quote I live by : "You’re lucky enough to be different, never change" - Taylor Swift. So, all those people who feel like they're not the average person, embrace it because you were given your talents and passions for a reason! And the most important advice I can give is to "Dream, Dream, Dream" because I started with a dream and now my dream is beginning to turn into reality and my journey in the fashion business is just beginning!
